Welcome Home Housing receives a donation from the Sacramento Book of Dreams
We recently received a donation from the Sacramento Book of Dreams. We were given $1600 to replace old dishes, glasses, silverware, and other worn-out kitchen items for all our houses. No more garbage disposal damaged forks and spoons or chipped, cracked, and mismatched plates and bowls. Our residents are proud to serve their meals now!

Welcome Home Housing receives a donation from SWAN
We recently received a donation from the Sacramento Women's Action Network (SWAN). They are a group of women who meet once a month and donate to non-profits that are mostly local and small, and we are honored that they chose Welcome Home Housing to be the recipient for May. Their generosity, along with the generosity of others, has allowed us to hire a cooking coach for four new residents. This will allow us to provide the stability our residents need to become the best cooks ever!

Welcome Home Housing receives donations from the Big Day of Giving
May 6th was the Big Day of Giving in Sacramento. Over $2 million dollars was raised for 394 non-profits in the greater Sacramento area. “High Fives” to the 35 supporters who donated to Welcome Home Housing! Thanks to your generosity, we raised just over $3500. If you wanted to donate but were uncomfortable doing so on-line or didn’t have a computer, please let us know.

Respite Care Center is now in operation
The Abiding Hope Respite House is now up and running. The staff wants to provide more recreation and exercise opportunities for the residents, so they are looking for a ping-pong table and a boom box. Please contact us if you can help.

Appliance Repair Person Needed
We need a person who knows how to repair appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators and will donate their efforts. We will pay for the parts. Please see our Volunteer Page for other ways you can help.
